Spud, Lay, and Derrick Barges
We are a leading provider of air, mixed gas, and saturation diving services for the oil and gas industry.
Spud, Lay, and Derrick Barges
At CEES, we use spud barges in a multitude of ways as these flat-decked boats allow us to work in more shallow and harder to reach waters. Spud barges are often used for demolition and decommissioning, crane work, pipeline construction and installation, pipeline repair, drilling, recovery, and transportation of equipment and machinery.
Lay barges provide us with capabilities in conjunction with it’s name. In the pipe laying process, pipeline joints are welded onto the pipeline as it is being laid and installed on the ocean floor. Lay barges allow us to effectively and safely install pipeline.
Derrick barges are often used for platform construction and often have heavy duty cranes to allow the movement of material and equipment to high up areas above sea level. At CEES, we often use derrick barges for equipment deliveries and platform construction and repair services across the Gulf of Mexico.
